Day 1: Fly to Colombo (N)

Day 2: Colombo

Arrival and transfer to Gampaha for an overnight stay at The Wallawwa, set in coconut and pineapple plantations. (B)

Day 3: Hatton

Take the 30-minute seaplane ride from Colombo airport to Castlereagh reservoir for a 3-night stay in a luxurious lakeside villa at Ceylon Tea Trails. (B, L, D)

Days 4-5: Hatton

Local experiences on offer include tea factory visits, walking, cycling or boating on the reservoir. Alternatively, sit back and admire the beautiful views from the pool while sipping a cocktail or indulging in afternoon tea. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Koggala

Take a 30-minute seaplane transfer to Koggala Lake on the south coast. Enjoy the aerial views of tea plantations, waterfalls, tropical rainforest and the stunning coastline. Take the short transfer to The Fortress Resort & Spa for a 3-night stay. (B)

Days 7-8: Koggala

Relax by the beach, enjoy a catamaran ride in search of blue whales, sperm whales and spinner dolphins or explore historic Galle fort. (B)

Day 9: Yala National Park

Travel by road to Yala National Park visiting the cave temples at Mulkirigala en route. Spend 2 nights at the beachside Chena Huts located on the edge of the national park.

Days 10-11: Yala National Park

Enjoy two wildlife drives with a safari guide in search of elephants, leopards, birdlife and more.

Day 12: Colombo

Travel to Dickwella for a seaplane transfer to Colombo and a 2-night stay at The Residence. (B)

Day 13: Colombo

Explore Colombo on a fascinating walking tour. (B)
