Day 2: Delhi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to the Taj Palace<\/strong> (or similar) for 1 night. Afternoon tour of Old Delhi, including the Jama Masjid mosque and Raj Ghat. (D)<\/p>\n

Day 3: New Delhi \u2022 Agra<\/strong><\/p>\n

Morning tour of New Delhi with a drive past India Gate and the former viceregal residence. Continue to the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun and the Qutb Minar tower. Afternoon drive to Agra, where you will stay for 2 nights at the Trident Agra<\/strong> (or similar). (B, D)<\/p>\n

Day 4: Agra<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah and Agra fort. Evening visit to Mehtab Bagh, to see the sun set over the Taj Mahal. (B, D)<\/p>\n

Day 5: Fatehpur Sikri \u2022 Jaipur <\/strong><\/p>\n

Continue to the pink city of Jaipur via the deserted sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri and exquisite Abhaneri Stepwell. Stay 3 nights at Ramgarh Lodge<\/strong>. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 6: <\/strong>Jaipur<\/strong><\/p>\n

Drive to Delhi in the morning and stay overnight at the Taj Palace<\/strong> (or similar). (B, D)<\/p>\n

Day 9: Shimla<\/strong><\/p>\n

Take the morning express train to Kalka followed by the narrow gauge mountain railway toy train ride to Shimla. Stay at the Oberoi Cecil<\/strong> in Shimla, the British summer capital during the Raj era, for 3 nights<\/p>\n

Days 10-11: Shimla<\/strong><\/p>\n

Morning tour of Shimla. Remainder of time at leisure. (B, D)<\/p>\n

Day 12: Delhi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Drive to Chandigarh and connect with the express train to Delhi. Stay overnight at the Taj<\/strong> Palace <\/strong>(or similar). (B, D)<\/p>\n
