Half-day tour of Kolkata\u2019s colonial heritage. Afternoon optional visit to the Victoria Memorial and South Park Cemetery. (B)<\/p>\n

Day 4: Dibrugarh<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fly to Dibrugarh. Board the RV Sukhapa RV Charaidew for 10 nights cruising the Brahmaputra river. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 5: Sibsagar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Morning visit to Sibsagar, the one-time capital of the Kings of Assam. Have lunch at a tea estate before cruising to Majuli, the world’s largest riverine island. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 6: Majuli island<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit Auniati monastery with its eclectic museum. Attend a dance performance at Kamalabari monastery. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 7: Jamuguri<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spend much of the day on the river, watching for water birds and river dolphins. Short visit to a tribal village. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 8: Kaziranga National Park<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day 10: Tezpur<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit Tezpur\u2019s sixth-century Da Parbatia temple. Cycle rickshaws will take you through the bazaars to Cole Park with its collection of medieval stone carvings. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 11: Guwahati<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today is spent on the river. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 12: Guwahati<\/strong><\/p>\n

Climb up to the pretty Aswaklanta temple before driving to the beautifully sited temple ruins of Madan Kamdev. Cruise to Sualkuchi. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 13: Sualkuchi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit Sualkuchi and its weaving workshops, Nilachal hill with its variety of birds and the poignant Commonwealth War Graves. Museums and bazaars are also visited. (B, L, D)<\/p>\n

Day 14: Fly to Kolkata<\/strong><\/p>\n

Disembark and transfer to Guwahati airport. Fly to Kolkata. Overnight at the Oberoi Grand. (B)<\/p>\n
